For his latest creation Creative Director, Olivier Echaudemaison, was inspired by the small Art Deco wonder born in 1936. The Rouge Automatique was the first lipstick without a cap and with an innovative technique requiring a single hand.
Sensory oils and waxes lend to a second-skin texture that makes the lipstick feel like a moisturising lip balm, while cristal pigments make it possible to obtain luminous, clear and pure colours without white effect. Although it markets itself as having a “remarkable long-lasting hold”, I found it to be quite transferrable due to the complex of oil and resin, which was slightly dissappointing.
All in all, I would be quite happy to have the 25 shade collection purely for the gimmic factor.
