Rendezvous was the name of the collection and seduction was its’ game. Dresses hugged the body and soft over coats added a touch of mystery. Colour blocking combinations were mixed with bold, sophisticated prints. A pair of interlocking hands clasped the shoulder of a body-hugging black dress, while other pieces were decorated with music notes, jigsaw pieces, and chains.
She’s known to create her collections based on what she’d want to wear and she’s not pregnant any more, so her new collection showed it. Dense rib jersey fabrics and knits were used to pull in all the places you’d want to be pulled. The silhouette was long and lean with a touch of polo sport or military structure.
Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava was the inspiration behind Lela Rose’s fusion of structure and movement; romanticism and functionality in her collection. Outerwear pieces focussed on the sporty lookincluding double-faced graveled wool coats over shirts and pleated skirts while beading and draping were employed for her evening-wear.
