New York Fashion Week Fall 2012 Day Eight

Adrienne Landau

If you are a PETA fan, look away, because Adrienne Landau’s show is always about fur. Rabbit, sable, racoon and mink were teamed with embossed leather skirts and skinny pants.

L’Wren Scott

Luxurious silks and velvet in jewel tones of scarlett red, butter yellow, ivory, amethyst, sapphire and plum had us traveling back in time during L’Wren Scott’s Fall show. The silhouette was kept very feminine with pencil skirts teamed with cropped fitted jackets, sweeping capes and fur shrugs.

Elizabeth and James

On the last day of New York Fashion Week, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen held their first presentation for their five-year-old contemporary collection Elizabeth and James. Although I have been writing about my favourite shows, this HAD to be flagged as an absolute disaster! Yeah they may have picked up on the trend of Pyjamas but I found it hard to get past the ill-fitted trousers, terrible example of layering and yawn-worthy matching outfits.
